I waxed our boards this weekend. You can pay to have a board waxed for around $20.00, but if you own an old iron you can do it for only the price of the wax and a scraper. Basically you just drop melted wax on the board, iron it smooth and scrape off the excess. In my opinion there is nothing better than waxing your snowboard on a cold day in the garage with a beer. I went to Sports Authority this week to buy new bindings for my snow board. Mine are old and could break at a moments notice. I would pay a small fortune on the mountain to get new bindings if that is where they broke, so I figured I would be better off just buying new ones now. Sports Authority had a great deal going on because they were attempting to get rid of last years merchandise. I got a pair of Burton bindings that were regularly $130.00 for $55.00 and a pair of Burton boots that were regularly $125.00 for $55.00. I felt guilty walking out…

You should feel like a crook. I mean ripping off Sports Authority like that!
Love the pictures and the blog comments. It’s -2 degrees right now in Nenana. Sue and I are going to drive to the Clear Sky Lodge for dinner (steak and beer) momentarily. I have a movie downloading. Maybe it will be ready to be watched upon our return from our 30 mile winter’s night drive for a steak.
Later,

Ha! Rob went to your site first and posted a comment AFTER I told him about the snowboard news and great use of the garage! We are having our first serious cold front – minus 20 degrees outside. The scenery is spectacular though.
See you soon.
