I went downtown on Sunday to shoot some fall photos of Portland. It’s easy to get overwhelmed because of all the areas to go and look for good shots. So, my theory is to find one spot and capture it from top to bottom. I made my way to the train station where I took pleanty of picutes. I figured the bright colors of the depot would help add to any fall colors that were around. Here are a couple of the better ones.  I took the photo of the bridge while I was walking back to my car. I like this photo, but I would have loved it if there were blue sky with the bridge.

Well, I have a bachelor weekend. Ash is in Phoenix visiting a friend and I am determined to watch football and shoot some photos. So, Elli and I went out after work and took a few shots with low light. I have a lot of dust on my lens. I had to clean it after I got home. It always makes me nervous because of the horror stories of people ruining their camera during cleaning.

This is a quote from Back to the Future for anyone who doesn’t get it. Biff, a character from the move, can never get qotes right. For instance this line is supposed to be. “Why don’t you make like a tree and leave.”  Anyway, long story short fall is here and we took a moment to enjoy it this weekend. Why is it you can live on the slowest road in town, yet when you want to stand in the middle of it and shoot a few photos it turns into the interstate? The color from the trees in front of the house is amazing. We got a sunny day on Saturday, so I could put it into perspective with the blue sky in the background.

I took this while we were spending some time outside between rain showers on Friday. Typically you need a fisheye lens to get a photo like this, but my dog’s head is so abnormally large in comparison to her body I didn’t need one. We are working on potty training. She knows to go outside now; we just need her to learn that she doesn’t have to go as often as she thinks she does. Ash and I read that Boston’s like carrots, so we threw one in her cage this afternoon while we went out for pizza. Apparently they do, because we can’t find it anywhere…

I have wanted to drive into the country and get some  photos of Oregon’s Fall, but as you can see the weather won’t be cooperating any time soon. Oh well, I can use my free time to wax my snowboard. It’s going to be a great year on the mountain. In the meantime, here is a commercial that Ash and I saw the other night that cracked us up.
